Artist Statement

While making art, I combine planning with spontaneity, risk-taking with experience, authenticity with a shared visual vocabulary, a personal journey with humanness, instinct with thoughtfulness. My goal with this balancing act is to create a visual honesty and to grow personally. This undertaking gets me up in the morning and is my life-long challenge. Fortunately I love a good challenge.
